Tripura Sundari Foundation, a private charitable organisation, conceived in 1976 in the United States of America in accordance with the last wishes of Smt. Late Sundaramma, W/o. Prof. Late Kota Sundara Rama Sarma (Founder) with the motto of rendering social service in India for people belonging to economically weaker section in the society, was established in Machiliipatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The status of the branch office of the TSF in India has been raised to that of a head office and the foundation has been registered as Tripura Sundari Foundation India. The Trust is registered and recognized by Home Ministry, Government of India with registration number 010260157 under Foreign Contribution Act, dt. 04-09-1997. The foundation is being run mainly from the personal contribution (90%) of Prof. Kota Sundara Rama Sarma garu, a well known philanthropist and in view of its activities and service the entire trust property is exempted from property tax.
